Homemade Christmas Tree Decorations

Christmas is nearly here and what better way to enjoy the countdown than to make some homemade decorations? The decorations are simple to make and look amazing hanging on a tree or a garland. You can be as creative as you like with your decorations, whether you wish to make gingerbread men, angels or even reindeer...

To make your own you will need:

Cookie cutters
Rolling pin
Letter stamps
Air drying clay
Glitter (Optional)

We picked up the glitter and our alphabetical stamps from The Range

Making the decorations:

Roll out your air drying clay to 1cm thick or thinner (depending on the size of the cutter you are going to use).

Cut out all of your shapes using the cutters you have chosen and pierce a hole with the end of a pencil so you can hang the decorations once they are dry.

If you wish to print any words onto the decorations you would need to do it now before they are dry.

The decorations will take between 24 - 48 hours to dry out completely.

Once dry brush with glue and sprinkle with glitter, tie on your ribbon and hang somewhere pretty!

We chose to stamp our decorations with a variety of christmas words. But you could stamp them with any words you wish.. maybe even your family names?

We hope you enjoy making your own Christmas tree decorations.
