Best Instagram Spots in Las Vegas

Everywhere you turn in Las Vegas you will be welcomed by perfect instagram spots!

The busy city is perfect for instagram photos; whether you want busy scenery photos; simple photos which focus on you or even the best foodie pictures . . . Vegas has it all! If you are looking for a perfect instagram destination, then Las Vegas is the place for you.

With no plan in place for what instagram photos we wanted to get, everything we have shared has been a spur of the moment photo. This has allowed us to capture the emotions of the moment and take photos that we truly love.

Although you are probably thinking that with so much to see and do, instagram photos will be easy to find and take . . . well let us show you where to find the best ones . . .

Every hotel in Vegas is amazing! You will be amazed by the size of everything, and the astonishing architecture of the hotels. Every hotel is unique and different. One minute you are in a hotel which has architecture like New York sites and the next you could be inside a medieval inspired castle.

With lots of amazing sights the hardest choice you will have, will be deciding where to take your photos . . .

New York, New York

The New York, New York hotel is one of the most elaborate hotels within Vegas. It stands out to passers by, and is hard to miss due to the magnitude of New York inspired architecture and statues on the walkway. From the Brooklyn bridge to Statue of liberty; if you are looking for iconic instagram photos then this is the location for you. Whether you have been to NY and want to take similar photos in Vegas or have never been to NY and want to get your first photos. This may have been one of our favourite hotels for instagram shots!

Yet again another iconic city, the Paris hotel is home to some replicas of well-known Parisian structures. The hotel building itself is a classic, yet elegant structure. But in-front of this you will find the Eiffel tower, which due to its large size can be seen from far away. This makes it perfect to get far away photos from across the road at Bellagio.

The Paris hotel also has the iconic Arc de Triomphe structure replica which is perfect to pose in front of and a Paris sign in the shape of the Montgolfier balloon.

With lots of stunning architecture the Paris hotel is perfect for any shot, day or night!

The flamingo hotel is another great spot for quirky instagram photos. With neon pink signs, a giant pink flamingo and real flamingos in the gardens!

Whether you love flamingos or not, the hotel has some pretty amazing instagram opportunities!

You will find the real flamingos inside the gardens in the hotel; here you can get instagram photos of just the flamingos, or if it isn't too busy you can get shots of you as well. The giant flamingo structure is located at the door on the back, where the food street is. The flaming is hard to miss!
One of our favourite instagram photos . . .

The sprinkles cupcake ATM is not only a Vegas photo opportunity, with stores in lots of big cities across America. However it is always a photo opportunity when we come across an ATM.

The ATM, being pretty and pink is perfect to brighten up your instagram and get a delicious cake!
Outside the city . . .

If you are heading outside of the city then you will have endless instagram photo opportunities. Have a look at our posts to see what photos we got:

Red Rock Canyon Vs Valley Of Fire

Your only in Vegas for a small period of time and want to know which national park you should visit. We'll here is everything you need to know about both so you can make the decision which is best for you.

We where able to make a full day of it and visit both within the same day. Purely for the reason that we wanted to see both but didn't have the time to have our hire car for any longer. It wasn't a problem though as they are both easy to get to and the drive didn't feel too long as we had amazing scenery to keep up entertained.
Red rock canyon
Red rock canyon is a national park just outside of Las Vegas and it is well worth the visit. To take in the views at this national park you can drive along a one way 13 mile scenic drive which has several different parking areas to get out and join some beautiful hiking trails.

There is a fee to enter the national park and drive the scenic drive. If you have a car full the price works out very reasonable and once you enter you can stay all day long.
check out Red rocks canyon fee page for all the prices for your visit.

There is a campsite if you wish to stay and appreciate the views for even longer; giving you the time to explore different trails and make a holiday of it. All the information about the campsite can be found on their website. (Give it a look before your visit)

Don't worry if you're not up for hiking you can get amazing views just from your car. There are also benches around so you can get out and have a sit down. The bench above looks like it is just facing the rock surface but if you look carefully you can see someone rock climbing which could be interesting to watch.

If you're visiting at a meal time you will need to bring food with you as there is no where to purchase anything. Remember to bring plenty of water if you are visiting when its very hot and especially if you are following a hiking trail.
Valley of fire
Valley of fire is another national park just outside of Las Vegas. This national park is a little bit of a further drive and is on the edge of Utah.
Just like Red rock canyon there is an entrance fee to pay to enter the park but it is charged per vehicle so isn't too bad and totally worth it for the amazing views. Once you have paid your entry fee you are free to explore and take a drive around. There is a visitors centre if you wish to buy any souvenirs or find out more information about the park from the helpful staff.
If you wish to camp at Valley of fire they have a fully set up campsite with all the facilities for a small price per night. This way you can explore all this national park has to offer in your own time.

There are several different points of interest to see while visiting. We didn't have a particular place in mind we wanted to see so we just had a drove around and stopped at a couple of different parking areas to get out and explore.
We would defffinatly recommend checking our their website to make sure you don't miss anything though.
If you have the time or you'r going to see what else is in Nevada other then Las Vegas you can find some great hotels near the nation parks. Here are a few that we recommend.

Recommended hotels
Red rock canyon

Valley of fire

We hope that which ever national park you choose (or if you visit both) you love them as much as we do and have the best time exploring and seeing the amazing scenery that Nevada has to offer.

Seven Magic Mountains | Nevada Desert

Seven magic mountains is a large art installation in the Nevada desert; 10 miles outside of Las Vegas. The huge rock formations are over thirty foot high and made of a variety of different coloured boulders.

The installation has a two year schedule where it will be up from May 2016 till May 2018. Although there has been word of it being extended as its been such a big hit. So heres us keeping our fingers crossed.

These rock formations can be seen from the road and look small until you are standing next to them. Although they appear small they stand out in a sense that they are the only colour around for miles.
Getting there

From Las Vegas: Drive approximately 7 miles south on Las Vegas Blvd. The artwork will appear on your left.

From Los Angeles: Drive north on I-15 to Jean, Nevada (Exit 12). Turn right on NV-161 towardsLas Vegas Blvd. Drive approximately 5 miles north along Las Vegas Blvd and the artwork will appear on your right.
What you need to know

There are no facilities such as restrooms at the artwork sight. The closest available are at Jean 5 miles away or to drive into Las Vegas.

There is a parking lot with plenty of space for everyone, so avoid parking on the road.

Use the unpaved walking path to walk to the sculptures. This runs from the parking lot.

While visiting the artwork sight be mindful of your surroundings as there are sensitive flora and animals such as the endangered desert tortoise.

Last but not least watch out for snakes.
Top tips for your visit

Bring plenty of refreshments as it can get very hot in the middle of the desert and the only shade you'll be able to find it from the rock formations. (This could be hard when your in the way of someones shoot)

Have a camera or phone with plenty of memory. You'r going to want to take a lot of photos as this art installation looks good from every angle with all of the different colours, shapes and sizes. (We took so many it was hard choosing which ones to show you)
We had the best visit and we where very lucky with the weather that day. If you'r able to get car hire then we defiantly recommend the drive just outside of Vegas to see these.

We really hope you consider visiting, you defiantly won't regret it. Make sure you tag us on Instagram so we can see your great photos.

10 Reasons We Want To Return To Australia

While planning and thinking about our upcoming trips of 2018, it got us thinking of previous destinations we have visited and where we would like to return to . . .

Australia is a country which is on a lot of peoples bucket lists; with amazing weather, stunning landscapes, and experiences like no other!

We have been lucky enough to visit Australia before (a few years ago) however with so many people currently visiting the country it has got us dreaming of our next trip! Our last visit was to Perth which is in West Australia. Although with lots to see and do, this is a city which is not visited by a lot of people who travel to the country. With Perth being the only big city on the West coast, the East coast can seem more appealing with more cities and places to visit.

Therefore our bucket list for a return trip to Australia has become quite extensive. Come and see what we got up to on our last trip . . .
Perth . . .

Perth is the fourth most populated city, located in Western Australia. With miles of beaches, a large city with lots going on and amazing weather it is perfect for any adventure seeker. This is the perfect Australian city for you if you are looking for a city which is located away from other cities, therefore allowing you more of an authentic experience which is not so commercialised.

If you are visiting Perth then we have some recommendations for you . . .

- Penguin Island
This is exactly what it sounds like  . . . an island with penguins on it!

The island is located just 45 minutes south of Perth and then a 5 minute ferry ride across. With a ferry every hour between 9am and 3pm. Upon the island you will be met by the worlds smallest penguins. When on the island you are free to wander and explore, have your own picnic, and swim and snorkel at your leisure. On the island you will find toilet facilities and the penguin centre where you can watch daily feeds.

However around the island you will find penguins on the beach, in the grass areas, and under rocks. If it is really hot they may however be hidden.

- Fremantle
Fremantle is a part of Perth city, located in the south west. This historical part of the city is on the coast with a gorgeous harbour. Here you will find lots of history, stunning beaches, and little cafes and restaurants to eat at. From here you can go on fishing boats out to sea.

- Caversham wildlife park
If you are looking for the ultimate Australian experience and want to see all the animals of Australia then this is the wildlife park for you! Of course wouldn't it be great if you could see every animal in its natural environment? And maybe you will. But if not then you need to head to this wildlife park. Located on the outskirts of the city in Whiteman park, you will find the wildlife park which is full of animals from koalas to kangaroos to wombats and crocodiles.

The park lets you walk around with some of the animals, kangaroos being one! Feed the animals and have new experiences like no other!
Therefore due to already having amazing experiences and memories in Australia we now have even more expectations and experiences on our bucket list . . .

1. Sydney Harbour Bridge
This is up there with some of the most famous bridges in the world. Located in the harbour alongside the opera house, the bridge joins the central business district with the North shore. However this is not only a bridge which is stunning to look at, it is also an experience because you are able to climb the bridge. This straight away made it to our bucket list, due to it being such a different and exciting experience.

2. Great barrier reef
The great barrier reef is the largest living thing on earth. Made of thousands of reefs and corals the coral reef is home to a large variety of fish, turtles, and other mammals. You are able to see the reef by either diving, snorkelling, glass bottom boat or evening flying across. However due to climate change the reef is gradually being bleached and the amazing colours are disappearing. With 93% of the reef already devastated by climate change, this is something at the top of our bucket list!

3. Bondi beach
This is one of Australia's most iconic and well known beaches.

With a white sand beach, an ocean pool and local cafes and pubs; the area is perfect for all tourists. Whether you are visiting to relax, learn to surf or even take a pretty coastal walk then the beach is for you. The beach made t to our bucket list due to its stunning landscape and the idea of relaxation and adventure at the same place.
4. Kangaroo island
Having visited penguin island before and experienced how amazing it was to see the animals in their natural environment, kangaroo island was a must for our bucket list. Kangaroo island is either a 45 minute ferry ride or a 30 minute flight from Adelaide. The island is a natural nature reserve which is home to kangaroos, koalas and other animals. On the island you will find a range of hotels where you can stay and experience the island. This is the perfect place to visit if you want to experience the real Australia.

5. Great ocean road
This is the 243 kilometre stretch of road along the coast from Torquay to Allansford. Known as one of Australia's most scenic roads, the 9 and a half hour drive (if done in one drive) is perfect to see some amazing sights and experience the real Australia. Along the way you are able to stop at iconic locations, have surf breaks and have amazing experiences.
6. Alice springs
This is the remote town located in the Northern Territory. Located roughly in the centre of Australia, the town is home to the Red Centre desert region. The area is known for its stunning landscape, and amazing Australian experiences. Whether you want to explore by foot, by diving into hidden waterholes or even taking a hot air balloon to see the views.

7. Luna park
Luna park is an amusement park, located in both Sydney and Melbourne. Both the amusement parks are filled with rides, attractions and food. The parks do however have different opening times with Sydney opening during the day, but not every day and Melbourne opening only in the evening but not every evening. The parks look perfect if you want a bit of fun during your trip.

8. Tasmania
Tasmania is the island located off the south coast of Australia. The island is home to a number of nature reserves and national parks. On the island you will find towns, museums, and other touristy attractions. However if you are visiting to experience the real Australia then the national parks offer nature experiences like no other. You are able to get to Tasmania by sea in 9-11 hours or by air from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in 1-3 hours depending where you are travelling from.
9. Gold coast
The gold coast is a well known city for its sandy beaches and surfing spots. The city made it onto our bucket list due to its spectacular beaches, city full of lots to see and do and the idea of a relaxing destination which is also filled with adventures and experiences.

10. Twelve apostles
The twelve apostles are probably the most iconic and visited site along the great ocean road. The apostles are rock formations in the sea, you are able to view 7 of the apostles from viewing platforms and boardwalks around the cliffs. If you visit at sunset not only will you be welcomed with stunning views but you may even see the little penguins returning to shore for the night.
We would love to hear any other recommendations you have for visiting Australia?
